I graduated from MSU in 2007, and haven't been back to EL very often, but ever since the day I packed my bags and left.....I'VE BEEN CRAVING DUBS!!!! Nothing is quite so satisfying, so belly-soothing, so miraculous as chicken, potatoes, ranch, peppers and onions wrapped to perfection and steaming angel's breath in your face :) Seriously folks, it's not just drunk food, it's anytime awesome-ness!

I like the other location a lot better. Last time I was here, I think they were training a new guy on the register...if you can call yelling at him for everything he did wrong as training. He then didn't get me a receipt and for some reason they though my order was a delivery order, never called it and I waited forever for it until I asked, and they had to open my dub and confirm it was correct. Usually I love this place, but my dub this time was sub par at best and the service killed it for me.

Menna's Joint can be a hit or miss. The quality of the dubs honestly varies from slimey but edible to frickin' amazing, and it's never predictable how yours will turn out (I've had the best luck with the chicken cordon bleu dub). The staff is pretty interesting... the last time I ordered over the phone, the guy who took my order said "That sounds really disgusting."

This place will be a ghost town during the day and after midnight, you will most likely wait in line for at least 20-30 minutes but it is well worth it!! Try the master dub, it rocks!

  • Jessica C.

Menna's is good but you kind of need to know what to order or you can end up with some hot lettuce liquid mayo concoction. The Waui with jalapenos is amazing. The loaded dub and whatever dub has chicken tenders is really really good! This particular Menna's can get a little annoying (if you havent been drinking) most nights after 11pm as a lot of drunk people hang out here (best drunk food ever) Basically the best salty junk food that everybody loves!

Great food, good staff, above average for a fast eat out joint.

Having been to the Mt Pleasant store I lured my buddies here for our pre-U2 concert meal. The wait in line was over an hour but the folks at the counter were still smiling and helpful. All the dubs were great, if a bit sloppy. All 7 people in our group enjoyed their food. They run a special on summer Sundays that they did not suspend even though there were huge crowds everywhere that day, so it was cheap as well as good. I wish there was a Menna's near my house-the closest is near GVSU, still a half hour drive. But then again, if there was one close by I'd be fat and broke...

Reminds me of a better version of Pita Pit. We were in town for the MSU/USF game this past weekend. A friend of ours that came up a couple days before us described Menna's as 'anything you want in a burrito'. Well, it's not entirely true, but it was really good. Seems to be the place to go for MSU students after a night of drinking. The line took forever. It was worth it though. They're not shy with stuffing the tortillas.

Why aren't these "dubs" over the place?! This is a billion dollar idea (gourmet entrees in a burrito), only findable in E.L. Italian meatball (YUM xinfinity). Please bring Menna's to Texas.

CT dub + potatoes with honey mustard. That's my personal favorite, though many are delicious. They even have breakfast dubs for those who want an early snack, or a late, late night snack. They are open late for the drunk/stoned crowd (it is called Menna's JOINT, after all) ... it is a great college eatery. I took my dad here once before a big hoops game against Wisconsin and he absolutely loved it. One time a buddy of mine actually tipped a Menna's delivery guy with an actual joint -- and he accepted. Business is business! A gem of East Lansing.

Any night you see people out at the bars, there will for sure be people here. Every dub is deliciousness wrapped in a golden brown tortilla. It's a must have for late night food. Once the bars get out there's usually a line almost to the door but, your drunk so lines dont matter since it's worth the wait. Or better yet you can go home and have it delivered there. Boom. The atmosphere inside is always great. The employees know that a line full of drunks is to be expected and the go with it. Whatever you end up ordering, make sure to get an order of loaded potatoes on the side. You'll thank your drunk self you did later

You can't go wrong with a dub from Menna's. I graduated 3 years ago and whenever we come back to East Lansing, this is a stop before we head home for the night. My favorite is the CT dub (chicken tender). They usually have a long line but they are really fast, so it moves quickly. The staff are great usually too.

The food used to be fast here when the kid that is now the manager of meat restraunt in old town was the manager foods normally good service has been slow last couple times I have been here drink machine is nice has a good deal of selections.

Good after-bar food. Not much else. I guess I don't get it. It's relatively cheap, they're open late, and there's some interesting sandwiches on the menu - most likely created in a smoke filled haze at hash bash - but I guess I'm more of a regular burrito/wrap guy. Menna's reminds me of traditional coney island fare wrapped up for convenience. Food is decent for this college town, yet I'm not going out of my way to come here. And I really hate the styrofoam taste permeating my loaded fries because the tots start melting the cup right away. Service can go either way, too. Whatever. If you go drunk, i'm sure you'll feel 5-star satisfied. For regular dining, it's just average.

I miss this place now that i've graduated. This was the place to go after the bar. Nothing beats waiting in line after the bar closes and you're anxiously waiting for your mennas with other drunk college students. The best dub has to be the dub with the potatoes and cheese in it. Delicious!

So far i have only tried 2 things here. both were mediocre. My gf raves about the place and says im just not ordering the right stuff so i will continue trying different items in hopes to be overcome by their amazingness. she swears by the "waui" but i have only tried the club dub and philly dub.

Let's be real, if you are getting the food here, there's a large likelihood that you are under the influence of something. But even if you are not, this place is pretty good. I visited this EL staple when visiting my friend at MSU. I suppose the pseudo-equivalent of Menna's was Geo's or Fat Sandwich. Basically a place where you could get glorious fried foods in wraps with sweet, savory, or spicy sauces. Heck, I would go back, maybe it would conjure up the memories of stumbling around during my few nights in Michigan. Thumbs up.

I've recently started dating an MSU grad and this was the first place he took me to when we went back to State for the first time. I've since requested to start our visit at Menna's the second, third, and fourth times we visited! This place is unbelievable. The line sometimes gets so long that you might wait for a half hour (maybe more...?), but this is usually late at night and SO WORTH IT. I usually don't have a stomach that can fit much food, but the dubs here are so delicious that I eat the entire thing within about 5 minutes. I've tried the Fajita and Club dubs and crave these often. I wish they had them in Chicago...they'd be a hit anywhere!!! A must-visit when you're in EL!

Was out late working one night and decided to try a "Dub". Wow, are these things delicious! No wonder college kids gain so much weight. If I were a college kid, or lived in the area, I could quickly become addicted to these. Very filling and tasty, even if you not recovering from a night out on the town.

Menna's is college late-night food, at its finest. It is still excellent during normal hours of the day, but since its a short walk from almost all East Lansing bars, and its open till wee hours in the morning, it just makes sense that one would eat here often after a night of partying. My favorite is the CT, drunk or sober. I have memories of inching my way through the line, in agonizing hunger, then mumbling a barely audible order to the cooks. Oh well, they always knew what I was talking about. The anticipation for my food to come out was almost unbearable. (I tend to get a ravenous appetite if I'm awake after 2am) The best part? Tearing into my dub like I haven't seen a meal in weeks! What satisfaction!! Super yummy, can't wait to make a stop here next time I'm in EL!

Finishing up a night out at the bars in East Lansing? Hungry for some grub? Menna's is one of the best places to go. They have a wide variety of options whether you're a carnivore, herbivore, or somewhere in between. Almost everything they make is called a "dub" which is basically just a burrito with non-conventional ingredients. My favorites are the CT Dub (chicken tenders, veggies, cheese, and dressing), and the Fajita Dub. Even when the place is packed with a line out the door, they keep things moving. They have a small army of people working there until 4am. Menna's also delivers to the entire MSU region.

Fantastic food, unique, and I'm always happy to get it when I can. Unfortunately, one occurrence still bothers me. I ordered and waited over an hour, only to find out upon calling them that the delivery driver had gone to the wrong address and left, without so much as calling me to confirm the address was indeed not mine. They corrected it quickly and brought my order, but my biggest gripe was that it was the same food, not remade, and had quickly gone cold. Kind of a bummer, but I'm still a regular, which goes to show that it's still quality eats.

I am not very religious but I am 110% sure there is Menna's in Heavan... at least my Heaven !! There is nothing more I crave in life everyday than a Cheese dub, okay maybe CT dub !! MMMMM goey goodeness !! Now I will give you fair warning Menna's is only to be consumed after 12am, unless you've been tailgaiting all day... I would not try it with out a little liquid courage for fear of having to drop it from its pedestal ! The atmosphere at the above times is just fabulous, everyone is friends, but be forewarned of pretty ladies that try to sit at your booth and ask for just a bite of your dub... its impossible to stop at one bite, yes speaking from experience !! The only qualm I could ever have from this place is the water glasses are small, most patrons of Menna's are in desperate need of H20 !! Perhaps there are pops available for sale, but I gotta save them bucks for my DUB !!
